Before my join date but around when I started lurking, the Micah Johnson wild boar hunt had happened and posters were celebrating and saying fukk cops and the "negged cacs" were flowing abundantly and apparently Crook started handing out warning points and saying the posts were gonna get thecorpse.com on an FBI watch list yadda yadda and then yeah basically posters neg cac'd him into oblivion.

I guess Michael Brown was around the same time and racial tensions started flaring up heavy and a subforum called "the race track" was created to move any race related threads there like a bushes basically.

Again, before my time so I'm just second handing coli lore

A lot of posters say he left on his own because of all the anti white sentiments but if you click his name it does say banned

I mean i keep nodding off but that shit just never takes for long enough. Either wake up having to take a piss, having to turn a/c up just wake up half an hour later having to turn that shit down. I mean when's the last time ANY body even talked to @brooklynzson ? Apparently @Houston911 is the only one with admin abilities and ppl like @Hex have tried to get ahold of brook to get other mods admin capabilities to no avail. I dont think that's brook on reddit but unless @brooklynzson here is the real deal I'd say thecoli is assed out and site problems will just get worse and worse over time.

It was kinda weird that it got bushed, I think there definitely was a concern that it would bring attention from the wrong elements, less of us getting on a watch list and more so the let's get all CK slander participants fired crowd thats running amuck on social media.

Thecoli was getting extremely stale and had a lot of problems.

-There were barely any younger members for example, so most threads discussing what they are doing was painfully bad.

-coli is always late to finding things

-A lot of close minded outdated thinking in general.

-a certain group of posters would basically ruin any political thread with whataboutism, even though what Trump is doing is clearly on a whole new level.

I feel on here all political and serious topics on here should stay out TLR (or whatever we name it later). Mods should just move them to their appropriate section. TLR should be for non-serious discussions and topics.
 
Some folks on The Coli saying they won’t move as why should they when the site still works. Which is odd as they are just risking being locked out (proving the site doesn’t work) and it’ll be at that time they will be unhappy. I don’t think they have thought that bit through properly. Someone should point that out / highlight it a bit more.

It’s all good until it ain’t.

Whatever happen to that poster with the Al Haymon avi who used to post in the booth? I think his name was Kenny da cooker. He used to have the most insightful post about the music business. Somebody should invite him over here

2nded…. For all the bullshit, Nap (and Get These Nets, bnew, FAH) put up a lot of obscure / low attention news/stories about Black related topics, political and otherwise. It actually made it a decent curated collection of news / updates vs the standard Twitter/Reddit regurgitations threads.


If we gonna get better moderation, Nap’s spamming should be easier to curtail.
