The last time I had a white friend I was 6 years old and she took back her invitation to her birthday party because her dad said that she couldn't have any n****** at her house. I asked my mom what's a n*****, she said, "there's no such thing as a white friend"... and that a n***** was a white person who calls you a n**** she said they are always talking about themselves they are just too slow to know it. I love my mom

Nothing holds black people back more than the obsession with racism. When you embrace it, when you let it shape your worldview, it closes doors. You’ll miss out on the tables you could’ve sat at, decisions you could’ve influenced, and opportunities that could’ve been yours. The truth is, society sees racism as the mindset of the ignorant and the criminal. Why would anyone choose to put themselves in that box?

I'm not a huge fan of Tucker Carlson, however, in this case he welcome Professor Ekow Yankah on the show to discuss racism, then didn't interupt him every sentence. Carlson asked questions that created the opportunity for Yankah to share his views. If Carlson was racist, he wouldn't have Yankah on the show.

I owned a store for many years and every time a young Black man came in it was the same thing: they would slowly open the door, see a white woman alone, and cautiously start to walk in. I would greet them with a smile and welcome them in, and once they realized they were safe with me, I could see the apprehension leave their bodies. Their shoulders relaxed and they exhaled with relief. It broke my heart every single time. We do not have the same lived experiences.

I love seeing black people have conversations like this with white people while maintaining a calm and cool tone.. it’s truly a depiction of the control they have over their emotions.

What white ppl want to hear is not the truth, but a stroke of ego to prove comfort. I appreciate this guy’s composure. The truth doesn’t have to be emotional, it just is. Be careful who you call your friend

The talking points of these white right wingers is always the same, they think that their self induced amnesia is not going to be called out. Trying make the narrative that the black people are there own problem and that they are the main criminals
Stop the BS!, it's always been clear in America in the past and up to this present day who the villains really are

I’ve had White, Arab, and Asian friends. During childhood it doesn’t matter but once you reach adulthood, the dynamics change.
They tend to look at you thru the lenses of “blk ppl” and no matter what they’ll tokenize you even if you don’t want that. If you’re in the same socioeconomic bracket you can be friends just accept that you’ll still be the “different” one .
