@thaKEAF all my post need moderator approval, whats up with that?
Not sure why it’s doing that. I think it mightve been tied to the permissions of the supporter tag? Try again I made some edits.

Will look at more reactions once I finish smilies.
Taking away features from the previous forum is wackYou shouldn’t be able to change your username.
Or at least a time limit, something like once every 18-24 months. You shouldn’t be able to change your username.
There shouldn't really be a reason to change your name more than once a year. Maybe there's a way where you can see the previous names of people as well?Or at least a time limit, something like once every 18-24 months.
The Coli already has a once per year limitOr at least a time limit, something like once every 18-24 months.
The politics thread should only be viewed by members.
This will help prevent people from only joining or posting in the community in order to promote their particular (and paid for) political/social agendas and or disrupting genuine political/social discussions on the forum.

Think these are both valid points. Think maybe more agressive moderation is a solution. I don't think we should be a place where "all ideas are valid"I disagree. why should misinformation be freely available on the net but facts being discussed by black users be behind a wall-garden?
nah, fuck that. HL is the sahara desertThe politics thread should only be viewed by members.
When HL posters would get tired of their 10 poster echo chamber they would spam TLR with their think pieces and try to bait people into arguments. I just ignore them. They are wrong about most stuff. I remember they said Kamala was going to win the election.:
nah, fuck that. HL is the sahara desertthe last thing we need is less traffic
The bold doesn't make any sense why would you want to stop people from joining your forum? Because they have a different set of politics? We gotta break out of this echo chamber HL mindset of wanting people to parrot and like and agree with our political ideologies. What's the point of having a political sub-forum if we all agree on the same topics. The politics thread should only be viewed by members.

You have a very good and valid point.I disagree. why should misinformation be freely available on the net but facts being discussed by black users be behind a wall-garden?
Not all traffic is good traffic:

Im not talking about peoples personal political beliefs im referring to people/organisations who do it for pay or any other gain outside of civic discussion
Don't think the rep system should be brought here. Negative positive reactions are sufficient.I don’t think the negative ‘likes / reactions’ on a post should result in negative rep. I feel having more steps to neg keeps it rational and makes folks less trigger happy.
I think people have a hard time staying on topic and want to bring their personal grievances into every thread regardless of the topic. This is especially apparent in the political threads. So many forums have become dead because members leave due to the forums becoming overwhelmingly political battle grounds.
Then the users who would make most of the political threads disappear when forum traffic is low![]()

If you're posting bs you'll get hit with the camby or thumbs down and that should deduct from your daps.
You have a very good and valid point.
The thing is that many forums and social media on the whole has been messed up by organised and well funded efforts to use platforms to spread misinformation and sow division amoungst people by organisations.
This forum has the potential to grow and become very influencial which will make it a target for these organisation to use its reach.
My thinking is if lurkers, bots etc. are unable to view the political threads its less incentive for "agents" to post here because they wont be seen by as many people.
Some sort of distinguishing line that separates the pinned threads from the rest of the threads in a given section.
How does it look now? added a horizontal line and little space so pinned threads feel distinct.
To be fair that's JBO.Have a anything goes section with no moderation.
How would this play out for those are just posting bad/frustrating/fucked up new stories?Don't think the rep system should be brought here. Negative positive reactions are sufficient.

stop chasing plats with negativityHow would this play out for those are just posting bad/frustrating/fucked up new stories?
Like the camby/fog ain’t necessarily at them but just the story they relaying
Onlybrehs community ìs gay. Change that name asap
That (thumbs down vs camby) seems like a good idea.stop chasing plats with negativity
Maybe it should be made more clear which reactions. Think a thumbs down can be neutral but a camby/foh is a neg-dap. So you thumbs down a school shooting story but if someone is acting like a bozo and saying stupid shit you hit them with the camby.
Perfect, id say a lil more bold as well but this is good. I assume with the license comes greater control but for now it looks great! How does it look now? added a horizontal line and little space so pinned threads feel distinct.
The coli used to have featured threads at one pointTrending threads sidebar as a toggle for all pages to push users towards active posts as the site gains traction.

Theres so many great new smiles, is it possible in the future (obviously more pressing matters atm) to have them accessible with the other ones? I'm sure nobody cares about half the phone style emojis if space is an issue. Will look at more reactions once I finish smilies.

Also, and I realize this could get out of hand but what do yawl think about retiring some @'s? Me personally I'm just thinking about @surf and @charmander

This is a pretty good idea... we can lock down specific usernames? @thaKEAF
Yup. Mods need to be able to be neutral in their actions, you can wild out in posts but abusing moderation is really foul imoCreate a moderators system that is less about policing and more about preventing spam.
It's the moderators that ruins these type of sites
Yes I’m down with retiring the names of the ones we lost.
Als I was thinking about deleting all the phone style emojis and use the old sohh ones . No one uses them.
