When did I ever run away from calling myself Eritrean, the reason why you guys know I am is because I said it, without being asked

I was asked why I'm using the term koon and speaking about plantations, and I'm saying because as a Black Eritrean man who was born in the US, that is the Black history I grew up in and frame of reference for Black history with the Black people that I can accessibly speak to since birth. I am still Eritrean and I am still African-American.

Ur struggle to understand such basics is on you

I grew up around all kinds of West Indians here in South Florida, never once have I felt like or identified with them

Knowing about Bois Caiman doesn't make me Haitian, knowing about the Male revolt doesn't make me Afro-Brazilian, etc.

Black people's refusal to accept a diverse race's differences and embrace ethnic pride is part of the problem
