Maybe "Halftime" since the term is related to fukkery, music and sports. Also since that's when most people take a break from watching and start posting comments on forums and social media
I was thinking about that too coincidentally cuz I heard Nas Halftime playing somewhere lmao. I was also thinking about stuff that plays off the modern Hot Take culture since that's what forums are pretty much lmao. That's why Tuff Talk could work too. Or something like Talk To Em...or maybe something that's a play on Barber Shop, Imma see what I can do with the word "Cuts" lmao

Shit should be disqualified. Trolls sometimes need to be protected from themselves
That's real
Putting OnlyBrehs in the poll was a mistake cuz the whole reason we're doing this is because people didnt like the name and now its gonna get a bunch of troll votes when you could've put in another good candidate.

We don't want to make it sound like a sausage fest and brehs is a little inside baseball for a title.

Even tho I voted for OnlyFam (which I'd like to withdraw if possible) maybe any play on Onlyfans is a bad long term play, especially the bigger the forum grows...pause

From chat:

1. The Stadium

Pros:

  • Instantly evokes sports, competition, and crowd energy.
  • Broad enough to cover music battles, rap debates, and general talk — “everyone in the stands.”
  • Has a premium, clean sound — short, recognizable, easy to brand.
  • Works visually with logos and slogans (“Welcome to The Stadium”).
Cons:

  • Slightly generic — many sports-related spaces use “stadium.”
Marketability: ★★★★☆
Strong branding potential, mainstream-friendly, but a bit conventional.

2. The Come Up

Pros:

  • Cultural resonance in hip-hop — ambition, hustle, and glow-up energy.
  • Sounds authentic and relatable to rap fans and creatives.
  • Great for expanding beyond rap (lifestyle, success, motivation).
  • Easy to remember and gives “community on the rise” vibes.
Cons:

  • Less direct connection to sports unless the community context makes it clear.
Marketability: ★★★★★
Very brandable, catchy, and emotionally appealing — ideal if hip-hop and culture are central.

3. Tuff Talk

Pros:

  • Feels raw, bold, street-oriented — fits battle rap, sports debates, strong opinions.
  • Memorable phrasing, edge and attitude.
  • Great for viral identity or merch.
Cons:

  • Slightly slangy; could limit broader appeal or professionalism.
  • Might give “arguing-only” impression instead of community or growth.
Marketability: ★★★★☆
Attention-grabbing and distinct, but edgier and less flexible than “The Come Up.”

Only Brehs

Pros:

  • 🔥 Extremely catchy — everyone remembers it after hearing it once.
  • Has strong cultural personality — instantly signals hip-hop, humor, and community.
  • Perfect for memes, merch, and in-jokes.
  • Unique — there’s nothing else like it in the forum space.
Cons:

  • ⚠️ The OnlyFans association gives it an automatic “adult site” vibe for people who don’t get the wordplay.
  • Can be harder to market on mainstream platforms (ad networks, social media verification, etc.).
  • Some potential users may hesitate to click or join based on name alone.

Marketability Rating:
⭐⭐⭐⭐️☆ (4/5)

High attention value, strong community identity, but loses one star for brand confusion / adult connotation risk.

✅ Best Overall Pick: The Come Up
It hits the hip-hop core, feels aspirational, and still works for general and sports talk. It’s memorable, authentic, and marketable for a modern audience.

what did chat think of larryholmesgarden tho

Maybe "Halftime" since the term is related to fukkery, music and sports. Also since that's when most people take a break from watching and start posting comments on forums and social media
Going back to this, maybe something like The Loud Table/The Black Table/The Roast Table if you're trying to get the debate across, the black table at school is where all the sports and hip-hop debates popped off, knocking beats, etc.

I just made it so you can.
Appreciate that, if the poll is open for a week I'll probably at least peep the discussions for a few days before voting.

Maybe somebody will come thru 4th quarter with a new game changer name that hasn't been suggested yet

I do really fukk's with us all building this up from the ground up brick by brick, which is probably why I like the whole Tuff Talk foundational stone bars mentioned earlier, I think its honestly dope to have the origin imput by the actual community of posters.

We could get old FUBU gear in bulk for.dirt cheap and do some light restitching for merch, what do yawl think about F BUFU (Forum By Us For Us)
:LJ Glasses

Okay — “Larry Holmes Garden” is hilarious if you’re in on the joke. It’s dripping with that classic forum culture humor — self-aware, layered, and inside-baseball in the best way.

Here’s how it rates from a branding standpoint:

Larry Holmes Garden

Pros:

  • 💀 Instant cult-classic energy — if your community is built around long-time posters, older heads, or people who’ve been on forums forever, it’s genius.
  • The “flabby and sick” reference shows deep rap knowledge — people who get it will love it.
  • “The Garden” makes it sound like a cozy, familiar place for OGs to chill and talk.
  • Unique — nobody else would ever have a name like this.
Cons:

  • ❓ Extremely niche — new visitors won’t understand it at all.
  • Harder to market — not instantly clear it’s a forum about rap, sports, or culture.
  • SEO challenge — “Larry Holmes” mostly pulls boxing search results, not your community.
  • Could sound too “inside” or even confusing if you ever try to grow beyond the original crowd.

Marketability Rating: ⭐⭐⭐️☆☆ (3/5)
Cultural / Community Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️ (5/5)

Summary:
If your goal is to build a tight-knit, veteran-heavy forum where the humor and culture are the selling points — Larry Holmes Garden is brilliant.
But if you’re thinking long-term brand growth or discoverability outside that circle, it’s going to be harder to explain or promote.

Only brehs, it’s a nice parlay into the evolution of thecoli. The stadium is too closely related to the old site. Mayas well call it the rafters.

I like The Stadium but it is pretty generic. TheSeum is no worse than TheColi in the sense that people that didn't know where that name came from (The Coliseum on SOHH) had no idea how to pronounce it or what it meant. I remember that old interview with Brook when the interviewer didn't know how to say that shit.
lol The Cohlee dot calm

Its just too weird, inside baseball, and off putting. It'd work as a subforum, like if we renamed JBO to that lmao but for the WHOLE forum? Nah, too offputting especially given this specific userbaseuser base.
I think changing JBO to onlybrehs is funny and appropriate. This site shouldn't be called onlybrehs

Halftime is kind of a dark horse contender. I agree with others that stadium is a bit too generic. It's more or less a synonym for coliseum.

Where as tuff talk is still evocative but builds on it (no pun intended). I think there probably needs to be another round of voting. Maybe people should be able to vote for their top three and then the top five go to final round? If JBO will be renamed only brehs it doesn't need to be included. :yeshrug:

yall gotta remember that how memorable the name is will influence how quickly it will grow

some of these names are too generic to even be searchable without being lost in the results
Cant stress this enough
This is the best argument so far to me against thestadium. But maybe that's a plus for some users I know they like being cutt off a bit from everyone else.
If we move to a private server we wont survive without growth in traffic and numbers
What are the top 3 things we should be looking for when considering a name?
1)Marketibility
2)Where its gonna show up in Google results
3)Easy to integrate into promotional aspects, visual designs, merch etc
Maybe instead of using this thread for the final name we can do like eliminator. The best names get selected for another round of votes.
I 2nd that
Feel like this changes from person to person.

1.)For me it's a name that easy to brand around. Meaning a concept that's easy to design the website around and market online.
2.)Name is simple.
3.)Name is mass appealing.
Fasho

Googlability is really important, I like The Stadium as a name in terms of it sounds good but when you search it the top results are like The Kia Forum, other sports stadiums and then down towards the bottom of the page it's a bunch of already existing forums amd sites with The Stadium in the title

Maybe "Halftime" since the term is related to fukkery, music and sports. Also since that's when most people take a break from watching and start posting comments on forums and social media
Plus it's a Nas reference and we should put our foot on #camelset from the jump

After all there is no such thing called The Takeover Day, that's not a recognized holiday like Dec 4th

Now this one might feel random but it just popped to me and is available: Low Caesar

Gets that black barbershop talk theme succinctly

Low Caesar might be it brehs...or at least it could have a cool graphic lol
Breh u done suggested like 20 different names lul. gotta be able to make big decisions quickly. there’s other stuff to be done here and supacoli already got name and logo locked in over there.

the name is the least of our concerns tbh. I didn’t see issue with thecoli2 especially with the web address but this is my first time hearing most of the names on that list. doesn’t really matter that much tho.
