Im fucking with Tuff Talk, too. Catchy and evocative.
OnlyBrehs![]()
I was thinking about that too coincidentally cuz I heard Nas Halftime playing somewhere lmao. I was also thinking about stuff that plays off the modern Hot Take culture since that's what forums are pretty much lmao. That's why Tuff Talk could work too. Or something like Talk To Em...or maybe something that's a play on Barber Shop, Imma see what I can do with the word "Cuts" lmaoMaybe "Halftime" since the term is related to fukkery, music and sports. Also since that's when most people take a break from watching and start posting comments on forums and social media
That's realShit should be disqualified. Trolls sometimes need to be protected from themselves
Putting OnlyBrehs in the poll was a mistake cuz the whole reason we're doing this is because people didnt like the name and now its gonna get a bunch of troll votes when you could've put in another good candidate.
We don't want to make it sound like a sausage fest and brehs is a little inside baseball for a title.
See I was thinking this the whole time with all these “Tha” names but I saw your name had Tha in it too"tha" seems :flabbynsick: to me though, do people even still use that? (My username is from like 2002 lol)
From chat:
1. The Stadium
Pros:
Cons:
- Instantly evokes sports, competition, and crowd energy.
- Broad enough to cover music battles, rap debates, and general talk — “everyone in the stands.”
- Has a premium, clean sound — short, recognizable, easy to brand.
- Works visually with logos and slogans (“Welcome to The Stadium”).
Marketability: ★★★★☆
- Slightly generic — many sports-related spaces use “stadium.”
Strong branding potential, mainstream-friendly, but a bit conventional.
2. The Come Up
Pros:
Cons:
- Cultural resonance in hip-hop — ambition, hustle, and glow-up energy.
- Sounds authentic and relatable to rap fans and creatives.
- Great for expanding beyond rap (lifestyle, success, motivation).
- Easy to remember and gives “community on the rise” vibes.
Marketability: ★★★★★
- Less direct connection to sports unless the community context makes it clear.
Very brandable, catchy, and emotionally appealing — ideal if hip-hop and culture are central.
3. Tuff Talk
Pros:
Cons:
- Feels raw, bold, street-oriented — fits battle rap, sports debates, strong opinions.
- Memorable phrasing, edge and attitude.
- Great for viral identity or merch.
Marketability: ★★★★☆
- Slightly slangy; could limit broader appeal or professionalism.
- Might give “arguing-only” impression instead of community or growth.
Attention-grabbing and distinct, but edgier and less flexible than “The Come Up.”
Only Brehs
Pros:
Cons:
Extremely catchy — everyone remembers it after hearing it once.
- Has strong cultural personality — instantly signals hip-hop, humor, and community.
- Perfect for memes, merch, and in-jokes.
- Unique — there’s nothing else like it in the forum space.
The OnlyFans association gives it an automatic “adult site” vibe for people who don’t get the wordplay.
- Can be harder to market on mainstream platforms (ad networks, social media verification, etc.).
- Some potential users may hesitate to click or join based on name alone.
Marketability Rating:

️☆ (4/5)
→ High attention value, strong community identity, but loses one star for brand confusion / adult connotation risk.
Best Overall Pick: The Come Up
It hits the hip-hop core, feels aspirational, and still works for general and sports talk. It’s memorable, authentic, and marketable for a modern audience.
Going back to this, maybe something like The Loud Table/The Black Table/The Roast Table if you're trying to get the debate across, the black table at school is where all the sports and hip-hop debates popped off, knocking beats, etc.Maybe "Halftime" since the term is related to fukkery, music and sports. Also since that's when most people take a break from watching and start posting comments on forums and social media
Appreciate that, if the poll is open for a week I'll probably at least peep the discussions for a few days before voting.I just made it so you can.

Okay — “Larry Holmes Garden” is hilarious if you’re in on the joke. It’s dripping with that classic forum culture humor — self-aware, layered, and inside-baseball in the best way.what did chat think of larryholmesgarden tho
My first job was working for street teams and most of my 20s in worked with artists and a lot of that involved marketing and branding so I feel youSorry im overbearing with this lmao I work in advertising as a writer so branding is literally my entire job lol
lol The Cohlee dot calmI like The Stadium but it is pretty generic. TheSeum is no worse than TheColi in the sense that people that didn't know where that name came from (The Coliseum on SOHH) had no idea how to pronounce it or what it meant. I remember that old interview with Brook when the interviewer didn't know how to say that shit.
Chill. My big bro Steph Curry colored. I grew up taking calls from thirsty bitches in the Al B Sure era.@HarlemHottie they saying you not down with @onlybrehs
but your post history says that you are ONLY down with onlybrehswhat about onlylightskinneds.community.forum
The thing I was telling Keaf tho is tuff talk is taken. Tuff Topic(s) is available.Im fucking with Tuff Talk, too. Catchy and evocative.
I mean that's one box already checked if we went with The Come Up thenI bought thecomeup.forum earlier.
what ever happened to Courtdog anyways?I'm throwing out names but I Still think The Come Up is it
I think changing JBO to onlybrehs is funny and appropriate. This site shouldn't be called onlybrehsIts just too weird, inside baseball, and off putting. It'd work as a subforum, like if we renamed JBO to that lmao but for the WHOLE forum? Nah, too offputting especially given this specific userbaseuser base.
Wasn't his name PS5 Pro?what ever happened to Courtdog anyways?
Tuff Takes? The thing I was telling Keaf tho is tuff talk is taken. Tuff Topic(s) is available.
Tufftalk.net appears available. The thing I was telling Keaf tho is tuff talk is taken. Tuff Topic(s) is available.
Cant stress this enoughyall gotta remember that how memorable the name is will influence how quickly it will grow
some of these names are too generic to even be searchable without being lost in the results
If we move to a private server we wont survive without growth in traffic and numbersThis is the best argument so far to me against thestadium. But maybe that's a plus for some users I know they like being cutt off a bit from everyone else.
1)MarketibilityWhat are the top 3 things we should be looking for when considering a name?
I 2nd thatMaybe instead of using this thread for the final name we can do like eliminator. The best names get selected for another round of votes.
FashoFeel like this changes from person to person.
1.)For me it's a name that easy to brand around. Meaning a concept that's easy to design the website around and market online.
2.)Name is simple.
3.)Name is mass appealing.
It works but .com will always be supreme in marketingTufftalk.net appears available.
TuffTalks.com?Tufftalk.net appears available.

Maybe Tuff Talk ends up being the name of the official podcast.TuffTalks.com?
Plus it's a Nas reference and we should put our foot on #camelset from the jumpMaybe "Halftime" since the term is related to fukkery, music and sports. Also since that's when most people take a break from watching and start posting comments on forums and social media
Also just checked, AtHalftime.com is availableMaybe "Halftime" since the term is related to fukkery, music and sports. Also since that's when most people take a break from watching and start posting comments on forums and social media
As a subforum in the booth I'm sure I'd spend a lot of time therewhat did chat think of larryholmesgarden tho
I could see it, have the intro be like an address to the nation "Tonights topic is going to be a tuff talk..." and then lead into whatever Drake/Kdot babble is on the docketMaybe Tuff Talk ends up being the name of the official podcast.![]()
TheStadium is weak as hell![]()
Breh u done suggested like 20 different names lul. gotta be able to make big decisions quickly. there’s other stuff to be done here and supacoli already got name and logo locked in over there.Low Caesar might be it brehs...or at least it could have a cool graphic lol
