Why were Right Wing Neo Nazis given free reign on TheColi? How can that be prevented here?

Hello, this is The Nigerian.

I was invited to come here. This isn’t the first time I’ve been invited back to TheColi.

Every time I was invited to come back to TheColi I would look on the board and get a feel for where everyone’s at. Well, at some point TheColi was clearly taken over by straight up Neo Nazi white supremacists running blatant PSYOPs on unsuspecting Black netizens. Yall wonder what COINTELPRO was like, well look no further than the front page of TheColi.com. I mean, they have the disinformation, the antagonistic illustrations, genocidal content being proppped up under the guise of shared identity behind exclusionary and tacky acronyms. Fucking gross.

This isn’t a hunch either. I was active on videogame forums back in the day. Many of those were overrun by Neo Nazis/MAGA/Right Wing/Alt-Right. I kept up with these communities on occasion and I would occasionally see them reference TheColi on those boards. Some users on these pages would use slang blatantly appropriated from TheColi. So yeah, that board is legit compromised. No question about it.

Never in my life have I ever heard of or observed Black people from America hating on Black people from Africa/Carribean so damn hard and I’ve been Black my whole life. Throughout my life Black people from all kinds of backgrounds were cool with each other on the basis that we’re all Black. If there ever was friction it was in the form of light teasing or name calling. But beyond middle school that kind of ethnic antagonism is non existent.

Literally the only other environment where I heard such sustained ethnic antagonism by Black people are fringe communities almost exclusively on Elon Musk’s iteration of Twitter, another online haven for right wing racist trolls. Endless antagonistic conversations on Twitter Spaces that only exist to foment disagreement amongst Black people. Endless Black fishing campaigns from well funded users. Racist bots on racist bots. It’s not a shock that you’d find contemporary parallels to COINTELPRO on Elon’s twitter.

My question is why were they allowed to have such a dominant role on TheColi? Why wasn’t there any push back? Why did the board become a haven for MAGAs?

Will these racist trolls be given as much room to let their racist nuts hang so they can teabag our discourse with their deliberately confusing, emotionally evocative, racist BS?

Will we be giving their agents the time of day on here? Will they be afforded mega threads and free advertising like they enjoy on TheColi?

If there’s a concerted effort to make this a positive space to hang out as a Black man then awesome, I’d like to participate. I’ll even donate, as I did to the original iteration of TheColi. If this is just going to be another avenue to convert more Black people into being a bunch of political nihilists or straight up right wingers I’ll resume my abstinence from this community.
