It's about time I got my health right brehs. I'm 30 with a two year old boy and I'm at the biggest I ever been (300). I do not want..I need to drop this shit. Posting this on the Coli kinda forces me to stick with this as this is a site I visit all the time (over 10 years). With the motivation of my brother's good or bad I believe this time next year I will have changed myself completely. I do not want to start today as I want to start fasting into tomorrow and eat completely clean. It's been awhile since I been on a real diet I used to do keto and that was cool but shopping for that is kind of annoying. So, here are some issues I face...

Gym: This is a no go as I work nights and my wife works in the morning it's just me and the kid till then. I already don't get enough sleep as is. I am willing to do at home workouts.

Money: Niggas ain't broke but don't recommend me nothing that cost 200$ or a whole rack come on now..

Mental: I'm not crazy or no weird shit like that but I can be an emotionally roller coaster (I've been trying to find God more) I don't want something to piss me off and I go eat something to cope.

So, here we go. Only thing I know for sure is I will be fasting and counting calories.. I should mention what I do for work! I do not sit around in an office I am a CNA moving your 320 pound memaw who doesn't turn and just shit. I am constant running around answering call lights (usually about nothing) so my job is active. I don't wanna die young and miss certain events in my son's life cause a nigga liked a biggie bag a bit too much.

I will be the first success story of the new coli.

I recently got a physical and my doctor told me that I was both flabby and sick

Download myfitness pal and use the suggested calories as a starting point.

If you can afford get some adjustable dumbells, a weight vest, an adjustable bench, and a walking pad/standing desk treadmill (you can get steps
In while your som watching tv or something).

Where should I start looking first? Amazon?

Amazon for everything, the dumbbells you can maybe do a sporting goods store too.

I have these

And bought the expansion, and they held me down during Covid when I was waiting to build my home gym.

I wouldn't cheapen out you need to be there for your son, so you can maybe do it bit by bit or if you got it but everything will probably run you close to 1k +/- because you want a treadmill that can support your weight, or if you dont do the treadmill go on walks with your son if he is stroller size you can go to the track at a local high school and just walk it 4 times (thats 1 mile).

Diet will be key as I assume you were never an athlete as 300 and little muscle vs 300 with a lot of muscle (you still fat) kinda hits different. The diet alone will drop the pounds, you want to lift weights so you dont just become skinny fat.

The weighted vest will be good for air squats + push ups + resistance on your walks if you do outdoor walks

the Dumbells give versatility and if you do that route + the expansion weights as you get stronger you may not need the weight vest.

For a diet I'll pretty much will be eating chicken as that's kind of all we eat as a family anyway. No soda,no juice,no sweet coffee. I will be drinking water with zero calories drink mix. If I do want a soda it will be sparkling water. As far as a snack it will be beef jerky and tuna etc rice cakes.

Uou need to count calories

If you're about that life and want to track your food intake, download macrofactor.

No, it isn't free. Use code MFER for 2 week free trial

It's science based, Macro centric. Plug your details in, and watch the magic happen. And it works. I've been using it a year now and have seen progress, but my lack of discipline keeps pulling me back to the trenches. But it works .

But yes. You do have to pay for it.

There is a cracked APK of it, if you're about that life... But you can't take photos of barcodes to log the food in.

For home workouts, I use ddp yoga. You pay for it... But, there's a free workaround...

It's amazing. I'm on week 6 and I can feel my the soreness lessen week by week. I haven't deviated from any of the workouts either. Always tried to give it my all but sometimes I do be breathing heavily though.
